Impact of Vitamin D in the improvement of respiratory function in sickle cell disease adult patients

Abstract The study aimed to discover the role of vitamin D in improving respiratory function sickle cell disease patients. In this prospective study, 188 adults were enrolled, drawn from out-patients unit Thalassemia Cente collected data categorized into three groups: group 1 included 100 healthy individuals age range 18-50 years as control; 2 88 (40 males and 48 females) patients steady state before supplementation D; 3 represented same measured recorded after 6 weeks supplementation.
